The official name of the open-air museum is the Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok (MBL). It covers a vast area on the right bank of the San River, limited from the north by a high escarpment, on which the Biała Góra housing estate is located, and from the east by the forested area of the Słonne Mountains. A great attraction is the Galician Market Square, where various occasional events are organized, e.g. before the holidays. The resourcefulness of the residents of that time, who were able to live and support their families in very modest conditions, without electricity, running water, gas and so many devices that we cannot imagine life without today, is admirable. In times long past, the Market Square in Sanok was an oasis of greenery in this part of the city. After the change of regime, the trees were cut down, and the Market Square was paved mostly in red, hence its name, Red Square. On hot days, the center of the square is unbearably hot. You can seek refreshment under the umbrellas where ice cream is sold, or by the fountain located closer to City Hall. One of the most spectacular places in the Słonne Mountains near Sanok. Worth a visit, especially in good weather - then we can admire a beautiful view of Sanok and the surrounding area. Between the viewpoint and the Eagle Stone there is a tourist shelter - comfortable and well-maintained.

On the tourist map of Sanok, apart from nature monuments and monuments commemorating figures important to Sanok residents, you can also find military monuments. One of them is the T-34-85 tank located on Białogórska Street. Its location has an important symbolic meaning - the tank is located right next to the bridge over the San River connecting the left-bank Sanok with Biała Góra, in the place where the German-Soviet border was established on September 17, 1939. This unique monument was unveiled during the celebration of the Polish Army Day on October 12, 1982. This event was also the 39th anniversary of the Battle of Lenino (...) In the center of Sanok, it is worth visiting the royal castle, the historic Franciscan church and the parish church. In the castle there is a gallery of icons and an exhibition of works by Zdzisław Beksiński. From Castle Square and St. Jana, there are vast views of the lower districts of Sanok and the surrounding hills, and the panorama extends to the mountain ridges above Solina. You can spend time in numerous cafes, tea houses, pastry shops, pizzerias, taverns and laundries. It is worth taking a walk along the cobbled alleys of the city park surrounding Góra Parkowa and using the viewing platform. In the evening, the SDK cinema at ul.
