Beautiful views of the surrounding villages on the Köhlerweg. Unfortunately, some paths are very overgrown. The circular hiking trail around the Sosa reservoir is very pleasant to walk. My recommendation is to combine the Sosa reservoir circular trail with the Auerberg. Because here there are wide and well-signposted shady paths. Refreshments are available at the Auerberg and the prices are perfectly fine. This area is highly recommended for hiking with dogs.

If you follow the small path upwards from the bridge at the rest bench, you will have wonderful views and only hear the rushing of the stream.

The facility is located in a former quarry near the Sosa dam. Today it serves as a destination to experience this ancient craft up close. On-site, there is a charcoal maker's snack bar, designed in the style of a historic charcoal hut. A charcoal maker is an artificially piled heap of wood used to produce charcoal.

This is a traditional inn that serves regional cuisine from the Ore Mountains. In addition to a restaurant, the inn also offers overnight accommodation in guest rooms. Amenities include a beer garden, Wi-Fi, and free parking. The Eibenstock dam is located nearby.
