Rebuilt in traditional brick and sandstone style in the 16th-17th century. The coach house was added in 1688. The castle was converted into a summer residence around 1830, accompanied by a general restoration, as a result of which a large part of the medieval character was lost. wing with prison on the ground floor and the chapel above. The main entrance moved from Hofdreef to Gierlebaan and was preserved in the current Kasteeldreef. The gatehouse was also partly demolished in the 19th century, so that the waiting area above the entrance disappeared.
