The Collini Bridge connects Mannheim's city center with the Neckarstadt-Ost district across the Neckar River. The pedestrian and bicycle bridge offers a direct, quick crossing and, at the same time, a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding architecture. The bridge is a popular spot, especially at sunset.

The Mannheim Observatory was located in the observatory tower built between 1772 and 1774 and remained in operation until 1880. The observatory was then moved to Karlsruhe and finally to the Königstuhl near Heidelberg in 1898, where the successor institute still exists today as the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory.

The town of Altrip is near Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. The Blaue Adria campsite, which is divided into several plots, offers plenty of space for mobile homes, tents and bicycle caravans (FaWoWa). There are several smaller lakes in the immediate vicinity, as well as the Rhine. The best way to reach this campsite is by vehicle. I took the train 🚂🚃 to Rheingönheim. There I changed to bus 570 and went to the stop "Weißes Häusl'e. From here I continued on foot 🥾🥾, about 3 km. A bicycle caravan meeting took place at the Blaue Adria campsite from September 20th to September 22nd, 2024. Here there were various FaWoWa to marvel at and I was able to talk to the owners about construction, materials, electronics, etc.
