Great church and a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

The building was built between 1641 and 1674 as a meeting house for the Swedish nobility by several architects in the style of Dutch classicism. In its function, the Riddarhuset resembled the English House of Lords. The Swedish nobility still meets in the building today for royal gatherings, parties and concerts.

Today I was lucky enough to be able to take part in a guided tour of the Swedish Parliament. You should know that only guided groups are allowed in. The tours are free and very informative. Prior registration is not necessary. Dates are announced on the notice board.

Very nice collection or permanent exhibition of art and design. The current romantic exhibition is also well worth seeing, complemented by great contemporary works. Lockers not suitable for large pieces of luggage, entrance fee OK, but perhaps not affordable for everyone.
