To get to the start of the hiking trail, a 4x4 vehicle is almost recommended for the last two kilometers. The gate at the parking lot closes at 4:30 p.m. After that, no more vehicles can get out. Unfortunately, overnight stays are not permitted there. I don't think 9 euros for a hike that you have to finish at 4:30 p.m. is a good idea. The hike mainly goes through the forest, past a few lagoons. I would not recommend this hike. There are toilets, but no toilet paper and no soap.

Villa Cerro Castillo offers exceptional hikes to discover its iconic mountain and glacier. It is also here that we find the first cave of the hands. A prehistoric shelter with some beautiful hand painted on its walls. When you return from one or other of your excursions, have dinner at the bus restaurant located near the campsite.
