Beautiful station with an extension for bicycles and/or luggage. I always use it for the routes towards Papenburg.

In 1856, Rheine was connected to the railway network with the opening of the Münster-Rheine and Osnabrück-Rheine-Papenburg lines. The current station building was built in 1927 and renovated in 2012. The statues above the main entrance are still preserved in the 1920s style.
