March 2, 2026, Palace of Justice of Nice

The Palais de Justice in Nice was inaugurated on October 17, 1892. It was built on the site of the former Dominican monastery, which had previously been demolished, following a building permit requested in 1890 by the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes. This imposing neoclassical building is the work of the departmental architect Auguste-Vincent Dieudé-Defly. Today, the building houses the Grand Court of Nice (TGI) – the other courts are spread across various locations in the city – as well as the Nice Bar Association.
