Very easy dirt road. Once at the top, a panorama unfolds of Merano, parts of the Val Venosta and Val Passiria, and all the mountains surrounding the entire Merano and Adige Valley basin. A spectacle!!!

A climb on foot or by bike to the Klostralpe is always worthwhile. Usually, the alpine pasture is not overcrowded, and from the pasture, there are rewarding peaks and the natural Saxalbsee for swimming on hot days.

At Klosteralm there is exceptionally good Kaiserschmarrn and the traditional Schnalser Schneemilch. The hut has many small festivals right at the beginning of August and a detour is always worthwhile, the staff is super friendly and the view simply wonderful! not having mobile reception is the best thing up here 😉

Very steep and gravelly. Not recommended with a bike (also e-mtb). Pushing uphill and downhill. Even push assist had hardly any grip.
