This tour takes you quickly out of the big city and into nature on attractive paths. You first follow the river Limmat, which leads out of the city like a green ribbon, in the direction of flow to Dietikon, where you finally quickly leave the densely populated valley. On small side roads you collect the first meters of altitude before things get serious at Landikon.
A sporty climb takes you to the Uetliberg, which towers high above the city of Zurich. From the summit you have a perfect all-round view over the city and Lake Zurich to the Alps. This excursion destination is particularly popular in late autumn. Because while the city is in the fog, the sun is shining up here and you can look past the fog.
After you've had enough of the view, it's downhill on gravel paths. The Höckler Ascent, well-known among the locals, leads straight down to the banks of the little river Sihl. Be careful, because as the name suggests, cyclists and runners often meet here during mountain training. You finally get back to the starting point of your discovery tour on cycle paths.
