The Coves is a protected 49-hectare Environmentally Significant Area centred around a series of oxbow ponds formed by an ancient bend in the Thames River. There are about five kilometres of trails that wind through wetlands, forests, and ravines, supporting more than 100 animal species and an impressive diversity of birdlife. It’s just minutes from downtown, and is a fantastic place to escape into one of the city’s richest natural habitats.
