Hiking
The gardens are named after Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola, the architect who built them, and belong to Palazzo Vincentini, which overlooks them from a splendid loggia. The Italian garden remained the property of the Vincentini family until the 20th century, inaccessible and separated from the square by a high wall. When the palace was sold to the Province of Rieti in 1927, the garden was made accessible to the public and the wall was replaced by a gate. From the gardens, there is a beautiful panoramic view of a part of the city of Rieti. Absolutely worth seeing.
