The Sturgeon Bank Wildlife Management Area is located off the coast of Richmond at the confluence of the Fraser River and the Strait of Georgia, or Salish Sea. The protected area has a high concentration of wintering waterfowl species and serves as an important stopover for migratory birds. Sturgeon Bank consists of nearshore and intertidal brackish marshes, mudflats, and open water. (Visit May 31, 2025)
