Hiking
Often photographed, but this is a hidden gem between grassland and fields. Walk through the wooden gate for a short walk through this mini nature reserve...

Hiking
The Bollenveen is a pingo ruin. This is a remnant of an ice mound (pingo) from the last ice age. After the ice lens in the ground melted, the mound collapsed, leaving a deep, round lake. (Source: ivn.nl/afdeling/roden-norg/natuurroutes/rondom-pingoruine-het-bollenveen/)
The original Tjasker Bollenveen disappeared, but in 2001 the Werkgroep Zeijerwiek, together with Friesian volunteers, built and placed a completely new replica. (Source: nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tjasker_Bollenveen)
