Hiking
The Holzriese in the Eng is reminiscent of the heavy and dangerous timber transport in the mountains, which was carried out here for decades. The facility was erected in 1981 by the City of Vienna as a monument; the original Holzriese had a length of around seven kilometers, the last timber transport took place in 1957. Today it is a silent historical reminder of the hard work in the mountains and the region's forestry past.
