Zons on the Rhine looks back on a long and eventful history. Archaeologists assume that Zons already existed in the 7th century. However, Zons experienced its heyday in the Middle Ages. In 1373, Zons was granted town rights and flourished. Fortunately, many of the buildings erected in the Middle Ages and the following centuries are still well preserved today. A trip to medieval Zons is definitely worth a visit!
