The gondolas have a very interesting release mechanism. Six passengers can fit in each gondola at any one time. When it's busy, this means waiting at least half an hour at the valley station. The air in the station is always oily, so it's likely something needs to be lubricated often.
A very funny feature: while you wait for the coupling to engage, a fan blows air into the cabin to cool things down.
