The development of the forests in Schleswig-Holstein is described here very clearly and with - in my opinion, impressive figures. To be honest, the figure from 1780 of "only 4% of the country's area" shocked me a bit. Thanks to a variety of measures, the stock should now be on the way from 9% to 12%.
