“After heavy sand loss following the autumn storms of 2013, the tower was dismantled in November of that year. It was stored for some time until the municipality of Hörnum bought it from the WSA with the help of a fundraising campaign. On January 15, 2018, it was reinstalled in a small park on Rantumer Straße and the corner of Steintal in Hörnum and is now waiting for a restoration planned for mid-2018. In the future, a light will shine in his lantern in the evenings again."
