😎The Oker winds its way through the densely forested valley between steep slopes in countless twists and turns. There are huge boulders in the riverbed. The route is ideal for a circular hike, as there are numerous routes on the slopes in addition to a path that mostly runs close to the water. For the steep climb, hikers are rewarded with wonderful views of the Okertal. Anyone hiking in the Okertal in dry summers may only see a trickle in the riverbed. Above it is the Okertal dam, which catches the water and regulates the flow.

Beautiful hiking trails along the Oker. Very nice photo opportunities along the large boulders in the Okertal. A visit is definitely worth it at any time of year 🌝
