The Tangermünde post office was built in 1886 on behalf of the postal directorate in a Gothic style. The brick building with the staggered gables was considered a building of high artistic perfection at the time. The rooms were well and practically equipped. Postal services were provided in this building until November 23, 2004. The building has been privately owned since November 2005.
The last stagecoach stopped in Tangermünde in 1899. Since then, the sound of the post horn has no longer been heard in the city.😉
