This statue of Padre Pio is placed in a particular place. For those who undertake some of the routes starting from Assisi this will be the last point where they can clearly see the Basilica. On the contrary, for those arriving, this will be the first view of the building that houses the remains of St. Francis. The statue is directly facing the Basilica complex. Over the years, many travelers have left evidence of their passage, making this representation of the Saint of Pietralcina unique.
