At the end of Cold Stream Road it narrows into a single track trail. Note that snow might linger into early summer. In summer the trail is also used by mountain bikers

Cold Stream Road essentially ends at Horseshoe Bend and Lost Trail Lodge, but a gravel spur continues up the valley to this point. From here it becomes an increasingly steeper trail to Tinker Knob and the PCT.
