The coastal path between Puerto de Santiago and Alcalá always offers fantastic views of the sea, La Gomera, and Mount Teide (on the landward side). There are also a few benches and some pretty little pebble beaches.
Before the path reaches the first hotel, there's a natural swimming pool... which is unfortunately often closed due to high waves. But when it's open, a refreshing dip is wonderful.
And afterwards, enjoy a cortado at the Areia Beach Club, which is just around the corner.
