Hiking

In the Middle Ages, gold was apparently panned in the Goldbach (Zlatý Potok), first mentioned as "Goltsbach" in 1587. Historical sources also report gold mining, but gold finds have never been reliably documented. A larger settlement, however, did not develop here until the 1830s. The Goldbach is a tributary of the Zottbach (Celní Potok), which flows from the Czech Republic to Germany and empties into the Pfreimd River.
