The Gose and Dove Elbe wind their way through the Vierlande and Marschlande in the Bergedorf district of Hamburg. Anyone who hikes along these side arms of the Elbe will experience a diverse range of flora and fauna. Nature reserves alternate with the agriculturally used fields of Hamburg's "vegetable chamber". Thatched houses and mills line the route, as do locks, shipyards and bathing lakes.
