    Hiking

One of two Wainwrights named 'High Raise' in the Lake District, not to be confused with the other one in the Central Fells. Enjoy the phenomenal mountain views! High Raise is 2,631 feet (802 m) in height and the summit is marked by a large cairn. On a good day you can see to the Howgill Fells from here but my favourite view has to be towards the Coniston, Scafell and Helvellyn ranges which all seem to merge together from this vantage point at sunset creating a wonderful skyline (Great Gable is particularly recognisable).

    Hiking

High Raise (Far Eastern Fells, not the Central Fells High Rise) near Rampsgill Head is a high, grassy dome of a summit and is 880 metres high. A fine Wainwright, it has great views towards two other fine Wainwrights, namely The Knott and Kidsty Pike. The walk up from Rampsgill Head is super nice and gentle.
