It's not exactly on the direct route of the Nahel Huapi traverse, but so worth the extra climb. You'll be away from the crowd at the refugio, guarded by El Abuelo. We got here late at night, following signs that said there would be a camp. There wasn't, but it was too late and too dark to go back. Perfect emergency camp spot, if you ask me. A million stars, but crazy cold (we were there in late November).
