Mountaineering
The hut is named after Emilio Comici, a passionate mountaineer who dedicated his life to the Dolomites. Born in Trieste in 1901, he discovered his love for the mountains at an early age and moved to the Dolomites at the age of 31, where he worked as a mountain guide. He celebrated numerous successes, opened famous climbing routes and was awarded a gold medal for his ascent of the north face of the Sasso Lungo. In 1940, he died in a fall from a rock face in his beloved mountains.

Hiking
Emilio Comici was an Italian alpinist, his name is immortalized in this beautiful hut. At around 2,200 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Sassolungo, the place for a break couldn't be nicer. If the rest takes a little longer, it could be because of the good food in the hut. :)
