A small detour of 100m or so will see you achieve the summit of Cnoc nan Gabhar (230m).
Stunning panoramic views from here take in much of the east coast of Kintyre, the Arran mountains, and Ailsa Craig.
It can be boggy in sections but the views are worth it.
