The Friedrichsbrücke over the Hudau in Bad Bramstedt is part of the old road between Altona and Kiel. Built from mid-1830 to the end of 1833 as the first art street in Schleswig-Holstein. The 90 kilometer long road shortened the travel time between the two cities thanks to the straight lines, the new bridges and the stone road from over 15 to nine hours.
