In October 2021, a new tree educational trail officially opened in Legden. This unique trail runs along the Mühlenbach stream and its hiking path and features a total of 38 trees, including some fruit trees. The tree educational trail was launched in spring 2021 by P.U.L.K. (an association of former group leaders) and Kolping Legden, in collaboration with the relevant authorities and the municipality of Legden. Additionally, families, clubs, companies, and other interested parties contributed to the success of the project with their generous support. Each tree on the trail is equipped with a sturdy and easily readable information board, on which the respective tree sponsor is mentioned by name. Furthermore, this signage was supported by Heimatcheck NRW, a regional development program of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The aim of the tree educational trail is to bring people closer to the plant world again. We hope that kindergartens and schools will use the educational trail to provide children with an important foundation in dealing with nature and to make recognizing and appreciating trees a matter of course. At the same time, we would like to invite walkers and cyclists to enjoy the diversity of nature. The care and watering of the trees are carried out by dedicated volunteers who look after the well-being of the trees.

The village fountain in Legden (often simply referred to as a fountain) is a charming water feature in the village center. It depicts a bronze group of figures showing children playing together with a dog. Also integrated is a dahlia – the symbolic flower of Legden, as the municipality officially calls itself "Dahliendorf". The artwork is intended to reflect the joy of life, the connection to nature, and the village character of the municipality. The fountain is a popular meeting point in the village center. It invites passers-by, families, and cyclists to take a short break and shapes the lively scene along the main street.

The Haus von Hülst is an important, listed bourgeois house in the historic town center of Legden. It is a representative, single-story brick house built on a solid sandstone base. Beneath the house is the vaulted cellar of a predecessor building, which probably dates back to the 14th century. The baroque decorations, the window frames, the corner quoins, as well as the striking crow-stepped gable with its volutes and ball finials are made of sandstone. Above the ground floor windows are wall anchors indicating the year of construction, 1677. Another detail is a small dovecote crowning the gable. In the associated garden stands a two-story half-timbered house from the second half of the 18th century, which formerly housed a large, brick oven system. The house was built in the 17th century by the patrician family Menke. Later, it passed into the possession of the Busch family (after whom the street Busshook is also named). The building owes its current name to the administrator of Hülst. At the beginning of the 20th century (until 1911), the estate served the von Hülst family for generations as a residence and administrative seat for the municipality of Legden. After the historic building had fallen into severe disrepair in the late 20th century, it was extensively renovated in 1988 and later modernized in terms of energy efficiency. Today, the Haus von Hülst, including the park, is privately owned and inhabited. For this reason, the estate cannot be visited from the inside, but can be viewed from the outside when passing by (for example, along the well-known 100 Castles Route).

The former Imperial Post Office in Legden is another striking, historic building in the town center that is a listed monument. The building dates from the so-called Wilhelminian era (the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II around the turn of the 19th to the 20th century). During this time, post offices were built all over the German Empire in a rather typical, state-representative architectural style. It is a classic solid construction, typical of the state architecture of that time. The building is reminiscent of the time when the postal and telegraph services in the Empire were rapidly expanded and even smaller communities like Legden received a modern, central post office. Today the building is no longer used as a post office, but as a protected monument, it continues to shape the face of the community.

The so-called Taubenturm (Dove Tower) in Legden is a historic, listed building right in the town center. It is a three-story half-timbered brick building standing on a sandstone base and featuring a gable roof. This type of three-story granary is very rare in the region and a special feature. Originally, the building was used as a grain store. The second upper floor and the attic were later used as a dovecote – hence the tower also has its characteristic entrance and exit openings for the birds and its name. The tower is symbolic of the historical right of "free pigeon flight". In the past, keeping pigeons was a special privilege, usually reserved only for the nobility. A modern shop fitting has been integrated into the ground floor. At times, the local tourist information office was also housed in the building. Today, the Taubenturm, as part of the listed building ensemble, significantly shapes the historic townscape around the church square.
