The lake circuit is a nature circuit. So lots of forest floor, which is occasionally repaired. Whoever wants to ride on asphalt on the north-south route, I recommend Neubrandenburg-Penzlin-Neustrelitz.

On the way between Klein Nemerow and Bornsmühle you have a great view over the Tollensesee and the surrounding area in the beautiful landscape of the Mecklenburg Lake District.

Actually a great circular route, although some sections take a bit of getting used to. Like the route from Alt Rehse to Neu Strehlitz with old concrete strips. Some sections also had a soft surface, which unfortunately also tended to slip.

The Bornmühle is definitely a highlight of every tour! The restaurant with the lakeside terrace can quickly become your favorite place - especially in summer, when you can sit comfortably and enjoy the view of the horse paddock. The service and the food are also impressive thanks to the use of regional ingredients. No matter whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, every dish will be a pleasure. And of course there are also coffee specialties, cakes and ice cream creations for those with a sweet tooth. After an extensive cycling or hiking tour, the Bornmühle is the perfect place to relax. The best thing: you can not only eat well here, but also enjoy really good cocktails. The Hotel Bornmühle is more than just a place to stay - it is the ideal destination for everyone who loves good food and the beauty of nature. Highly Recommended!

This well was once the central water intake point in the village of Rowa. The large handle pump is reminiscent of times long past on the “Pumpenberg”. The village streets were much lower back then, so the pump was actually on a mountain (hill).

On the opposite side of the lake is the barrow. The view from both hills is very wide.

Great route, very beautiful sections, always happy to go around the lake. Changing landscapes and great views make up this tour. Stop now and then and take in the beautiful perspectives. There are some free and elevated points that allow a view of the Tollensesee. The bench is right on the bike path on this section of the route. From there you have a beautiful view of the lake landscape. The right place for a quiet, relaxed rest. Very helpful.

The church in Rowa is a late Gothic towerless boulder building from the end of the 15th century that is still close to the Gothic style. A bronze bell with incised symbols hangs in the free-standing belfry. Further information about the church in Rowa: https://www.dorfkirchen-in-mv.de/content/Version_1/detail_total.php?Reg_Nr=583
