A great little stretch of road that usually confirms I’ve made it out to the good stuff from London.

High Beech Tea Hut

Highlight β€’ Forest

High Beech Tea hut is a great place to hang out, drink excellent (cheap) tea and hearty bread pudding, and chat with other cyclists. Tends to be a lot of MTBers up there, but everyone is friendly. It's always funny to see someone spattered in mud emerge from the forest!

The tea is excellent and on a sunny day there's a lovely view of the forest and beyond, and lots of dog walkers etc. Well worth a stop before your final run back (all downhill!) back to London

Rolling Hills of Essex

Highlight (Segment) β€’ Cycleway

This section is really fun, with smooth rolling hills that are easy to pedal up. A really nice cruising road with green fields either side.
