July 9, 2026, Bridge Over the Naviglio Pavese

The little bridge over the Naviglio Pavese in Rozzano is located along the Alzaia opposite Cascina Grande. This footbridge is known both as a panoramic viewpoint over the canal and for having become a small place of worship for Italian comedy. This bridge is indeed the set for the famous scene from the film Chiedimi se sono felice (2000) with Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo, in which Giacomo's bicycle chain falls off at night while the trio is racing along the Naviglio. The Bridge of Cassinetta di Lugagnano is one of the most characteristic and historically significant monuments located along the Naviglio Grande, in the metropolitan city of Milan. Originally built of granite, the structure dates back to the 17th century, erected during the Spanish rule of the Duchy of Milan to connect the two historic centers divided by the canal. The bridge historically unites Lugagnano (on the right bank, of Roman origin) and Cassinetta (on the left bank, of medieval design). The bridge was completely rebuilt in a donkey-back shape in May 1862. This intervention became necessary both to repair the damage from the wars of independence (such as the nearby Battle of Magenta in 1859) and to facilitate the transit of commercial barges on the Naviglio.

The Darsena of Milan is the city's ancient river port, located in the Navigli district, which has today been transformed into one of the main centers of Milanese nightlife and culture. It represents the historic meeting point between the Naviglio Grande and the Naviglio Pavese.

The Chapel of Madonna del Dosso is a charming rural oratory located between the Cantalupo and Baitana farmhouses, in the municipal territory of Gaggiano, along the "Camminando sull’acqua" cycle-pedestrian path. Dating back to the second half of the 18th century, it is an ideal place of peace for cycling excursions, often historically associated with the countryside of Trezzano sul Naviglio (the "de' Borini" rice fields area).

Nice road, not to be taken during the hottest hours as it is exposed to the sun and mosquitoes
