The baroque Chiesa di San Giuseppe in Piazza del Popolo in San Severino Marche was originally built in 1627 by the priest Giuliano Tinti and was fundamentally rebuilt in 1768 according to the plans of architect Gaetano Maggi, commissioned by Vincenzo Tinti. A special feature is the altar of the Madonna on the right side - the Madonna was damaged in 1997 by an earthquake and then in 2009 in a fire. The restorers deliberately left the figure damaged and dedicated a modern altar to it.
