The playground near the Vordere Fluh mountain inn boasts a scenic location overlooking the valley and is ideal for a family break in the mountains. Even though the inn was closed today, the swings, slide, and other play equipment provided fun for the kids while the adults took a short breather and enjoyed the view. A perfect stop on a hike around Hagspiel and Vordere Fluh.

This large, unnamed wayside cross was erected in 2017 and stands directly on the ascent between Hagspiel and the Vordere Fluh mountain inn. From here, a beautiful view opens up into the valley – ideal for a short breather and a moment of peace. An atmospheric resting place before continuing uphill towards Fluh.

Nagelfluh on the Hochgrat: Striking peaks and rocky ridges characterize the mountain range that stretches from the Mittagberg near Immenstadt across the Hochgrat to the Bregenz Forest. The rocks, which have been "baked" into conglomerate from scree, look as if nails had been driven deep into them, leaving only the heads visible, which is why they are also called "Nagelfluh."

With a bit of luck you can find arnica directly on the Hochgrat, a rare sight.

The Hochgrat and the Seelekopf are two peaks in the Allgäu Alps. The Seelekopf is a neighboring mountain of the Hochgrat at 1663 meters. The Seelekopf can be reached via a ridge hike from the Hochgratbahn mountain station and offers a rewarding view, but requires surefootedness and is secured with rope-secured sections. The Hochgrat is the highest mountain in Oberstaufen and offers breathtaking views of the Allgäu Alps. The Seelekopf opposite is 1663 meters high and lies in the Allgäu Nagelfluh ridges. The combination makes a great hike.
