As of June 3, 2026, the tunnel is unfortunately still closed. Since June 4, 2025, there has been a notice from the mayor explaining that it is being processed due to restoration and safety measures and is therefore temporarily closed. However, on-site it looks very much like it is abandoned and ignored. Nothing is happening here. I suspect this tunnel will be closed for longer and I don't see any imminent return. A great pity!

Tovel is a wonderful place, the only flaw is that they are over-urbanizing it (NOTICE FOR SNACKERS, DO NOT THROW YOUR GARBAGE AND CIGARETTES ON THE GROUND)
