A beautiful place for a leisurely stroll! Please note that Hüttnersee is a nature reserve, home to many rare plants and vulnerable bird species. Therefore, please stick to the official paths and keep your dogs on a leash where signage indicates that dogs must be kept on a leash. The run-of-river power plants on the Sihl used the water of the Sihl in the Sihl Valley almost continuously from Lake Sihl (889 m above sea level) about 40 kilometers downstream to the confluence (402 m above sea level) with the Limmat in the city of Zurich. Hütten is the third one, first built in 1894 to 1895, renovated and fully automated in 1965 to 1966.

Great view from above the Hüttnersee lake. As you fly down the hill you can see beyond the valley to the Sihil lake and the surrounding mountains.
