The Church of St. Peter and Andrew is a Roman Catholic church in Brilon, a town in the Sauerland region of Germany, and belongs to the Archdiocese of Paderborn. The main church of the parish, which was elevated to a provostry in 1925, is dedicated to the apostles Simon Peter and Andrew. Construction began shortly after Brilon's founding, between 1220 and 1250. The early Gothic hall church, with three bays, features a transept and a two-bay, straight-ended chancel, both of which date from the 14th century. The imposing early Gothic west tower was erected after the nave was completed. Due to the church's slightly elevated position, it is clearly visible from afar. Viewed from the market square, the church, together with the historic town hall in front of it, forms an ensemble considered a landmark of Brilon. Source: wikipedia.org
