The parish and pilgrimage church of St. Nicholas in Burgenland is an impressive baroque house of worship, especially valued for its artistic furnishings and spiritual significance. Visitors will find a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere here, which is great for pausing and discovering the historical details. Thanks to its central location in the town, the church is also a great starting point for exploring the surrounding region.

The Protestant "Church of Peace" (Friedenskirche) in Bad Tatzmannsdorf was built according to the plans of the architect couple Karl and Charlotte Pfeiler and consecrated on October 20, 1968. The architectural concept is driven by the idea of affirming God's creation and the church's openness to the world. The organ was built by the Upper Austrian Organ Building Company St. Florian and handed over in 1971. The three bells (cast in 1921) with the inscriptions "Faith", "Hope" and "Love" are a gift from the Protestant community of Enzweihingen (near Stuttgart) and call people to prayer from the free-standing bell tower. Here, in the shady spa park, you will find this monument, with the information that Franz Grillparzer also liked to go to Bad Tatzmannsdorf for cures. There are also some places to rest all around.

The bell tower has replaced the former wooden tower from the 19th century since 1913. Diagonally opposite, you will also find a shady resting place under a 200-year-old horse chestnut tree.

There is a bathing lake buffet with a seating terrace on the south shore and a snack bar on the north shore. The water slide, the sun island, the diving tower (jumping heights of 3 and 5 meters), and the large swing area also offer plenty of additional entertainment. Free admission to the bathing lake with the Burgenland Card. Price without the card: €3.80 (valid for 2025). Discounts are available for families, seniors, schoolchildren, and students.
