You are not actually warned about the beaver, but rather about the consequences. In the bank area, the undercutting can lead to you falling in - not good for humans OR beavers.

As of 07/2026: The small bathing spot on the northeast shore of Heinersdorfer See is still one, but for horses. It is also officially designated as a horse bathing spot. The hoof prints on the shore also clearly indicate its use as such 🧲🐎, see hiking highlight https://www.komoot.com/de-de/highlight/8275590

Status 07/2026: Since the beginning of 2026, after an initial grace period, all remaining animals have finally moved out, as a hoped-for rescue attempt by an investor failed. The Heimattiergarten area can still be traversed, but is unfortunately now empty. I personally assume that the topic of the animal park is settled here and there will be no reactivation. But sometimes one is proven wrong ...🤔

At Ulmenhof you can enjoy delicious German cuisine all year round. Huge portions at moderate prices – where else can you find that in 2025? 🤔
