A monument dedicated to Doctor Hilaris Feigus (1888-1944). A Special Soviet Commission managed to identify his body in 1944. The inscription on the monument reads "Here rests Doctor Hilaris Feigus (1888-1944), the only one of the 100,000 victims of Paneriai to have his own grave". In 2000, this monument was established at the initiative of Rachilė Margolis (1921-2015), a former prisoner of the Vilnius Ghetto and a member of the ghetto's underground resistance organization, as well as a long-term employee of the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History.

A memorial stone at the massacre pit was dedicated in 1985, bearing the inscription (in Lithuanian and Russian) "The corpses exhumed from the massacre sites were burnt here". The inscription was inaccurate because, from the end of 1943 onward, bodies were burnt in areas near the pits. The structure of the mounds is well preserved. Their western section was damaged in the 1960s during the construction of a railway section. On the right side of the pit, you can see part of the surviving stone wall that was installed during the construction of the Paneriai fuel depot.

In 1959-1960, a memorial museum was established in Paneriai and was originally part of the Vilnius Museum of Regional History. In 1962, the museum became a subdivision of the Lithuanian SSR Museum of History and Revolution. Part of the informational infrastructure of the memorial was also organized following the museum's establishment at the site of the massacre. In the 1960s, a competition for the architectural design of the Paneriai Memorial was announced and was won by Vilnius architect Jaunutis Makariūnas in 1961. Makariūnas' design was partially completed only in 1985. The renovation of the design was not prompted not only by the 45th anniversary of the "Restoration of Soviet Power in Lithuania" but also by a fire in 1983, which destroyed the temporary exhibition. The current building is located on the site of the former museum.

At the initiative of Shaya Epstein, chairman of the Vilnius Committee in Israel, together with the Lithuanian Jewish community and the Republic of Lithuania, a plaza was opened in June 1991 and a monument with inscriptions in Yiddish, Hebrew, Lithuanian, English, and Russian was unveiled in remembrance of the Jews murdered at Paneriai. The monument created by architect Jaunutis Makariūnas was based on the first monument that stood at the memorial site between 1948 and 1952.
