The Perlenbach Valley is a worthwhile destination, especially when the daffodils are in bloom in early or mid-April.

It's just great here for children. The narrow, rooty paths along the stream are great fun for them. There's a lot to discover here and plenty of places to take a break.

The daffodils in the Perlenbach and Fuhrtsbach valleys are heavily advertised by the city of Monschau. It is recommended to start in Höfen at the nature park gate. However, you have to walk 4 km from there and still haven't seen any daffodils. We started in Alzen at the "Zum Brüchelchen" car park and did the "Big Narcissus Circular Trail" with 11.5 km. The really beautiful daffodil meadows can be found here on the southern stage. If you want to take a shorter route here, you should start at the "Gut Heistert" car park on the "Paradies im Perlenbachtal" circular route, which is 3.6 km long.

The Fuhrtsbachtal and the Perlenbachtal are very nice to hike through. Plenty of places to rest and you always have the gentle splashing of the streams as your companion
