Great for cycle touring. Enjoy the amazing ride up from Hafslo and spend a night under the stars. There are plenty of places to pitch a tent. As of writing the hut is not open so resources are limited. Make sure to bring enough water and food!

This impressive stretch of road to or from Veitastrond packs some of the most impressive views I’ve seen to date. On the way to Veitastrond you will be treated to impressive views of Jostedalsbreen National Park and the glaciers within. The hilly road twists and turns around Veitastrondavatnet and every corner brings a view better than the last. Overnight options in Veitastrond are limited so either bring a tent or plan to cycle in and out in the same day as this is the only road to the town!

The old metallurgical plant Tungestølen was destroyed in 2011 by a storm to the ground. In 2015, the architectural firm Snøhetta and the DNT submitted plans for the rebuilding (see https://nb-no.facebook.com/www.nyetungestolen.no/), which will be implemented in 2018. After completion of the cabin complex, you can spend the night in modern cabins in Scandinavian design in the middle of one of Norway's wildest romantic areas.
