“Avancée sur la mer”, ZOER, 2021, K3 11 – 14, 68159 Mannheim The mural depicts the multi-part scenery of a bustling luxury resort; artificially embedded in an original, expansive landscape. Where ZOER has otherwise been known particularly for depicting relics of our industrial society, for Mannheim he chooses a landscape motif. The subject reflects not only his personal return to nature – especially in times of lockdown – but also the socially critical intentions of the trained product designer. With “avancée sur la mer”, the title of the mural, ZOER provides food for thought on an oversized canvas: We should live in alliance with nature. Not try to dominate it, because one day it might reclaim the space and freedom that we have taken from it through our crude interventions. Isn't a huge wave of unforeseen consequences already rolling towards the luxury vacationers on the horizon? Better to take a closer look yourself! https://www.stadt-wand-kunst.de/zoer-mural/

NYCHOS “Primal Truth” (2021), Neckarvorlandstraße 17-19, 68159 Mannheim Deeply rooted in graffiti and street art and shaped by pop culture influences, Nychos creates murals, fine art, illustrations, and sculptures. His anatomical imagery is unmistakable, generating irritation and fascination at the same time. His large-scale murals feature dissected, translucent figures – people, animals, well-known protagonists from pop culture, comics, and television, such as Mickey Mouse and Barbie. Layer by layer, NYCHOS dissects them, revealing their physical structures: skin, muscles, bones, organs. Driven by an insatiable curiosity and the question: How deep can it go? His favorite tool: the spray can, his favorite surface: large, free walls. https://www.stadt-wand-kunst.de/nychos-mural/

„Insomnia”, SATONE, 2015, Kleestraße 6, 68169 Mannheim Sainer's mural in Mannheim, with its title and contrasting color scheme, leaves much room for interpretation. But one thing is certain – similar to those sleepless moments when you are completely exhausted, but your thoughts are racing in your head – that the artwork represents an imagination of restlessness captured on the wall. When looking at it, there is always more to discover in the flood of abstract forms. So, if you are driving past Neckarstadt on the B44, you should consider making a small detour, because you can find something new every time you pass by. https://www.stadt-wand-kunst.de/satone-mural/

„Stairway To Heaven“, BOND TRULUV, 2020, Zeppelinstraße 32, 68169 Mannheim With „Stairway To Heaven“, the Leipzig-based street artist BOND TRULUV created the first and so far only mural by STADT.WAND.KUNST in Mannheim's Neckarstadt in the summer of 2020, which can be brought to life through augmented reality. Anyone viewing the artwork through the Artivive app will see the wall open up: pixels disintegrate, lightning flashes, columns begin to rotate, and architectural elements appear to emerge from the house wall – a visual illusion that captivates viewers. The design for this interactive mural was created entirely on the computer beforehand – BOND worked for days with graphics programs before he even picked up a spray can. Twelve drafts were necessary until the image composition, building proportions, and environmental references harmonized perfectly. Only then did he set about transforming the facade into a seemingly open architecture: Interlocking staircases, abstract shapes, and graphic elements precisely pick up on the building's real floors and extend them into a new dimension. The characteristic letters of his artist name BOND can also be discerned next to gleaming chrome spheres, ancient columns, and a pixelated arrow. https://www.stadt-wand-kunst.de/bond-truluv-mural/

The Collini Bridge connects Mannheim's city center with the Neckarstadt-Ost district across the Neckar River. The pedestrian and bicycle bridge offers a direct, quick crossing and, at the same time, a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding architecture. The bridge is a popular spot, especially at sunset.
