Drynan Regional Forest's parking area is a small dirt parking lot that can fit about 10 cars. If the lot fills up, additional parking is typically permitted along the side of the Dumfries Road. It's free to enter Drynan Regional Forest, and there are trash cans at this trailhead, but no restrooms.

Drynan Regional Forest has trails that pass though mixed forests and wetlands and several ponds. The forests are made up of oak trees, conifer plantations and walnut trees, creating lots of shade for hikers. This area was shaped by ancient glacial and fluvial activity for thousands of years. Wear long pants and shirts as there are bugs in summer and sightings of deer ticks.

Brantford Rail Bridge, or Brant's Crossing Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge that was once a railway line. The bridge has two trusses, but they are not exactly identical in construction, making it unique. There are great views over the Grand River, and it's a safe place to spot wildlife like beavers and birds.
