My opinion about Lake Enol is that it is the most beautiful and spectacular of the Lagos de Covadonga, and one of the most special mountain landscapes in Asturias. 🌊 Iconic image: its deep lake, the reflected mountains, and the grazing cows create a perfect postcard. 🏔️ Sense of grandeur: it conveys more "high mountain" than Lake Ercina. 📸 Very photogenic: especially with light fog, at dawn, or after rain. 🚶♀️ Accessible: it can be enjoyed without long hikes.

Los Lagos de Covadonga is very positive: it is one of the most spectacular and emblematic landscapes in northern Spain, especially Asturias. 🏞️ Breathtaking natural beauty: the Enol and Ercina lakes, surrounded by mountains and meadows, are truly photogenic at any time of the year. 🌿 Feeling of pure nature: even when there are people, the environment conveys calm and grandeur. 🚶♂️ Simple routes and walks: there are easy trails to enjoy without being a mountain expert. 🚴♂️ Mythical for cycling: the climb is legendary in the Vuelta a España.

Very nice, but also very crowded.

You can hike great here. Very crowded around the parking lots, but a few meters further on there is solitude and the beauty of the landscapes can be enjoyed.

Although it is called Roman, its construction dates back to the High Middle Ages, probably the 13th century. There is a high probability that it was built on earlier Roman foundations. Whatever its date, the Cangas Bridge is one of the most emblematic monuments of Asturias. The river below the bridge is often quite deep, and swimmers can be seen jumping from the surrounding rocks.

Because parking is very difficult here, we started at the hotel. The chosen route through the countryside was, of course, closed. The road to La Molina was closed. A shortcut on the switchbacks was unusable due to wild boar hunting. So, it's all paved until the entrance to the forest, but it's all the more beautiful from there. There's also a spot where you can cool your feet in the river.
