The Bertradaburg thrones impressively above Mürlenbach in the Kyll Valley. The current castle complex was probably built at the end of the 13th century and was first mentioned in a document in 1331. Particularly striking is the mighty double-tower gate, which still dominates the image of the complex today. The legend surrounds the castle that Charlemagne was born here – however, this is not historically proven. The castle is inhabited today and can therefore only be visited at certain times and partially. Together with the village and the Kyll, it is one of the most beautiful historical viewpoints in the town.

The bicycle repair station in Mürlenbach is located on the Kyllwiese directly on the Kylltalradweg. It was set up in 2023 and offers tools for minor repairs on the go. Available are, among other things, wrenches, tire levers, and a pump. This allows a flat tire or a loose screw to be quickly fixed yourself. A very practical facility for cyclists on the way through the Kylltal.
