Hiking
The present castle complex was probably built at the end of the 13th century and was first mentioned in a document in 1331.
Particularly striking is the mighty double-tower gate, which still dominates the image of the complex today.
Legend has it that Charlemagne was born here – however, this is not historically proven.
The castle is inhabited today and can therefore only be visited at certain times and in parts.
